National Training Partner – Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram

Rural Development Institute (RDI) is the National Training Partner for Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram launched under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India which is technically supported by National Health Systems Resource Center (NHSRC).

Under the program RDI conducted 5 days Training of Trainers for the Peer Educators’ Regional trainers. The training was conducted in 4 batches for 99 participants.  The Regional trainers were from 25 districts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand.

The training manual focused on developing the capacity of participants to train ANMs on peer education in their respective states. The training manual contains 6 modules (Introductory, Growing up, Male & Female reproductive organs, nutrition, reproductive sexual health, mental health & substance abuse and gender & violence). These modules were further divided into 14 interactive sessions and activities. Each participant was provided a peer education kit which includes training manual, peer educator activity book, reference book- FAQ, “Bhranti & Kranti” game, “Babli kare sawal” and a CD of complete kit.
