In 1993, when the Founder wanted to start an ANM College, the government refused to give permission. Swamiji wrote them a scathing letter back saying “I will open my own school and one day my nurses will be employed in all your government centers in these mountains.” That became a reality in no time.
Now, when the next generation of leaders is being prepared and the scenario has changed to ANMs across the state coming over to this megacity for simulation based training, the new generation says, there is no time to teach them the core teachings of diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation.
So how is legacy transferred – by doing and making room for personal enablement while carrying on core tasks or celebrating the founder’s image once a year ?
