Swami Rama Himalayan University, a State University was established vide Uttarakhand Act No. 12 of 2013.  SRHU has been promoted by HIHT. The constituent colleges of SRHU are the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Himalayan College of Nursing, Himalayan School of Management Studies, and the Himalayan School of Engineering & Technology.
