Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) celebrated the nation’s 72nd Independence Day on 15th August. Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), hoisted the national flag.
The students, staff and faculty of the University and the children from the Vidya School, Flying Birds School, and the campus presented the cultural program featuring patriotic songs and dances.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dhasmana apprised the audience of some new developments of SRHU.
Yoga sciences course has been started under HIMS.
In Engineering we have started B.Tech. program in collaboration with IBM.
Integrated course has been introduced in bachelors and masters in Physical Therapy.
Toli hill campus is getting good response as the objective is to provide quality education in hill area.
From next year we will start Travel and Tourism, Hotel Management and Home-stay in villages to generate employment for locals. Apart from this in association with PMF (Pranab Mukherjee Foundation) 20 villages of the areas are identified for developing smart village.
The celebrations concluded with distribution of sweets.
