Mother’s Day Celebration: Honouring the Spirit of Motherhood

Mother’s Day was celebrated with immense joy, warmth, and gratitude at Vidya School, Flying Birds School, and Aakhar Centers in the outreach. The occasion was dedicated to honouring the unconditional love, care, and silent sacrifices of mothers, while creating meaningful moments of connection between children, mothers, and educators. The event brought together students, mothers, and staff in an atmosphere filled with affection, laughter, and shared happiness.

The celebration began with a heartfelt welcome for all mothers. The young children greeted their mothers with bright smiles and visible excitement, instantly setting a tone of love and emotional closeness. A vibrant cultural programme followed, where children presented songs, rhymes, and small performances dedicated to their mothers. Their innocence and sincerity touched everyone present, turning the stage into a space of pure emotion and joy.

To make the day more engaging, a series of interactive activities was organized for mothers. One of the most memorable was the eye-recognition game, where mothers identified their children by looking only at images of their eyes and then wrote their names. The activity evoked both excitement and emotion, beautifully highlighting the deep, instinctive bond between a mother and her child. This was followed by the Balloon Blow Game, which brought laughter and lively competition into the room. Mothers enthusiastically participated, using balloons to move and collect objects, filling the space with energy, cheer, and playful spirit. The simplicity of the activity created moments of shared joy and light-hearted connection.

A particularly touching moment of the celebration was the blindfold activity. Mothers, blindfolded, were asked to recognize their children. The exercise created an emotional silence followed by smiles and tears of joy, as many mothers identified their children instantly through touch, voice, or presence. It was a powerful reminder of the unspoken, intuitive bond that defines motherhood.

One of the most appreciated activities was the Fireless Cooking session, where mothers and children worked together to prepare healthy snacks. At Vidya School and Flying Birds School, they prepared nutritious items such as fruit chaat, bhel chaat, sandwiches, and sprout chaat. Beyond cooking, the activity encouraged healthy eating habits, teamwork, and shared responsibility. Children proudly served the food to their mothers, making the experience deeply personal and memorable.

The celebration concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, where mothers, children, and staff came together to share smiles, blessings, and photographs. The atmosphere reflected gratitude, togetherness, and emotional warmth.
